Effective immediately, Bazil El Atassi, former COO of Belantis, will be the Leipzig-based theme park’s new managing director. El Atassi has been with the company since 2014 as COO, and is an authorised signatory and member of the executive board, also serving as division manager of the event EmiR Entertainment from 2008. For over 15 years El Atassi has been involved in developing and organising events inside and outside of Belantis.
“We look forward to working with Bazil El Atassi in the new role of operative managing director,” said managing director Thorsten Backhaus, who will support El Atassi in the strategic direction and integration into Parques Reunidos’ corporate structures. “His high level of expertise and many years of experience at Belantis in various positions will help us to continue shaping the future of the park.”
