Asian Attractions Expo

IAAPA has revealed details of the education sessions and pre-convention safety institute planned as part of its Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) next month in Seoul, South Korea.

“In addition to a full-day IAAPA Safety Institute, we have secured some of the industry’s most well-respected leaders to provide education sessions and keynote addresses,” says IAAPA’s vice president of education, training, and professional development, John Henderson. “With speakers from South Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines and the United States, this will truly be an outstanding education programme.”

The day before the trade show, on Tuesday June 9, participants in the IAAPA Safety Institute will hear from international experts discussing maintenance, operations and international standards, see list of sessions opposite.

During the show itself, the education program will continue with a focus on guest service and operations. Executives from some of Asia’s most well-known attractions will speak on service excellence, staff training and development, and the latest industry trends.

Two “leadership luncheons” will also allow AAE visitors an exclusive audience with accomplished industry leaders from Asia as they share some of the wisdom and success they’ve gained in the world’s fastest growing market for the attractions industry. On Thursday June 11, Liu Pingchun, vice-president of OCT Enterprises and chairman of OCT Holdings, will speak, followed on Friday by Lee Won Hyo, director general of Seoul Grand Park.
