Nearly 25 metres – that’s the height of the tower to be built at the Mandoria theme park in Rzgow near Lodz, Poland, making room for the installation of a new rollercoaster. With this huge investment, Mandoria is set to gain another year-round attraction.

Mandoria’s new rollercoaster is planned to begin operation in the first quarter of 2025. With its launch, a new area of the park will be made available to visitors, representing another quarter of the Renaissance City of Adventure. It will feature family attractions skilfully integrated into the surroundings with charming food and drink outlets.

Aquila, as this is the name the developer has chosen for the new attraction, will be the fourth rollercoaster in Mandoria – the largest indoor theme park in Europe.

Shortly after setting off from the station, its carriages will be accelerated to their maximum speed of 70 km/h and through a hole in the wall they will enter the tower for a wild ride through the armoury, the forge and the historic quarter of the City of Adventure. The route will be full of rapid twists, inclines and surprising turns providing an incredible experience and making for an unforgettable ride.

“From the very beginning of the creation of the Mandoria theme park, we wanted it to be described by three adjectives: themed, family and year-round”, explains Daniel Zieliński, Mandoria park manager. “In embarking on the work on the new park zone, we are staying true to this objective. Mandoria will still look like a 16th-century trading town and the attractions there will enable whole families to have fun together. Thanks to the construction of the massive tower, our fourth rollercoaster will travel its entire route indoors, which means that it will be available to visitors all year round, regardless of the season or the weather.”

Aquila is a family launched coaster, produced by Vekoma, a world-leading manufacturer of roller coasters and amusement park attractions. The model coming to Mandoria is one of the most technologically advanced rollercoasters and the first of its kind accessible to children from 95cm tall.

“For the first time in Poland, children from 95 cm tall will be able to experience a ride previously reserved for teenagers and adults”, says Zieliński. “All this while maintaining the highest safety standards.”

Work on the new Mandoria zone is already underway.
